PICO 4 Ultra Launch Event

Our client PICO launched it's new product this year, the PICO 4 ULTRA. We created the key visual for this product, giving it a more premium look and feel, elevating the previous design. Following the key art creation we were asked to plan and create the launch event London for around 60-70 guests.

The asks included: VR Booths for testing out the headset, an area for a keynote speech, a photo booth and a free roam area for more headsets. One of the key takeaways from the initial briefing is that they wanted their product to look premium at all times, therefore our podiums needed to be high quality and fit with its own lighting for photographs and overall aesthetic.

With previous experience in event organisation, such as the Dead Island 2 game launch, this was an opportunity for me to develop my skills in event design and user journeys.  To create a solid foundation for the project I created to scale floor plans of the venue to plan our our builds and also help our 3D team with 3D renders and walkthroughs.

Another thing to consider was budget and scale, we needed to create something exciting, tech led and premium with a limited budget, which meant we needed to find clever solutions and problem solve throughout.

We delivered two concepts in the initial round (visuals above) which were pitched to the client with the intent to mix and match elements to get their desired finish. Our routes were "Layers, light & tech" and "Curves & Flow" , which both highlighted aspects from the PICO brand, one based on colour and tech from the ket visual and the other on the form of the headset itself.

"Layers, light & tech" - was our creative route to develop and expand with the considerations of build, size, experience and budget.

Once a route had been selected we developed our storyboard to the feedback and weaved in the "must haves" into our timings, including product demo and the real life and animation split specifications. On top of this TVC ad we also had to create storyboards and sketched for: Applaydu advert, product photoshoot, styling for the shoot and cutdowns.

Working with our in house 3D team to develop our visual style to reflect the mood board that the client has scene. The desired effect was to have it as realistic as possible to match our real plant pot scene, whilst steal trying to keep a dreamy colour palette and feel.

The Shoot

Along with the concepting and roll out campaign we had to also prep for the shoot which included shot lists, product placement and clothes styling. I was in charge of coming up with the styling for the shoot and how we integrate Jurassic World products into our shots without being overbearing.
